Background Story:
Founded by persons with disabilities in response to systemic exclusion, Care and Concern Action Group (CCAG) is dedicated to ending discrimination and promoting inclusion. While the organization was founded in 1983, it became fully operational in 1995 and has since grown into a key advocate for marginalized communities.
Our journey began with a focus on disability rights, but over the years our work has expanded to address women’s economic empowerment, child protection, agriculture, and climate resilience—recognizing the interconnectedness of vulnerability, poverty, and environmental degradation.
Care and Concern Action Group was officially incorporated on 10th April 1996 under the Companies Act, 1963 (Act 179) with the Registrar General Department of the Republic of Ghana. Our registration number is CG076471022 and our TIN is C0062277839.
Mission
To empower persons with disabilities, vulnerable children, marginalized women, and climate-vulnerable communities through inclusive health services, sustainable agriculture, education, advocacy, environmental action, and community support.
